Finance Manager - Bristol - Central

Element Recruitment are working with an established business in Central Bristol who are looking for a Finance Manager for a 9 - 12 month FTC.

As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the company's cash flow and ensuring efficient financial operations. Your primary duties will include managing daily cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing the use of financial resources. You will play a key role in developing and implementing cash management strategies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and liaising with financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage daily cash positions, including cash balances and transfers.
  • Manage and lead a team of 4.
  • Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to predict future financial needs.
  • Optimize the use of excess cash by making investment decisions in line with the company's policy.
  • Coordinate with banks and other financial institutions to manage banking relationships and secure necessary funding.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to cash management.
  • Prepare regular cash flow reports and provide insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their cash requirements and ensure adequate funding.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to cash management activities.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency in cash management operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cash management, treasury, or a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial markets.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
