Credit Control | 3 Month Temporary Contract | £13.50-£15.00 Per Hour
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a growing finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of the organisation by minimising bad debts and optimising cash flow. Duties

• Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments are received.
• Prepare and send out invoices and reminders for outstanding payments.
• Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers to assess risk.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications with customers regarding payments.
• Collaborate with the sales team to address any payment-related queries.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to manage accounts payable and receivable effectively.
• Generate regular reports on outstanding debts and cash flow status for management review.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and credit control principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a credit control or finance-related role is advantageous.
