Assistant Financial Accountant (9 Months Fixed Term Contract) - Chippenham

Element Recruitment Limited is proud to partner with a well-established Manufacturing company in Chippenham, Wiltshire, seeking a committed and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant. This 9 month role is crucial for supporting the Financial Accountant and overseeing essential financial accounting areas within the organization. • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and monthly schedules.
• Take ownership of the monthly accounting process, including invoicing and account reconciliation.
• Support Half Year and Year End external audits through journal testing and collection of documentation.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting processes.
• Collaborate with central finance teams and external auditors to meet reporting deadlines.

Requirements:

• Experienced, or Part qualified or studying towards a recognized accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Experience in financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and organized approach to meeting deadlines.
• A good understanding of accounting concepts and local GAAP.
